AYURVEDIC COOKING & EATING WELL
2 of the classes include an amazing meal.

Manifest Studio, 4906 NE 22 (1/2 block so. of Alberta St.)

Sunday afternoons:   1/10 - 1/31   1:30 – 3:30 pm
Requested donations (Participants will also be asked to bring groceries for one of the meals.):
• $15-$25/session sliding scale Drop-In
• $12/session for complete series
• $5/session for Manifest members

• 1/10/10 Intro to Ayurvedic Constitutions & Practical Nutrition Principles
• 1/17/10 Learn to cook & eat Kitcharee & how to apply the 6 tastes & balance doshas
• 1/24/10 Refining Ayurvedic Nutrition for Your Constitution & Conditions
• 1/31/10 Learn to Adjust a Dish to the Seasons & Your Dosha & how to cook & eat a seasonal curry

There are so many different things to eat.  There are so many ways to cook.  Let's find new and better ways to enjoy cooking & eating well -- in good company.  Each session the group will prepare a meal, developing skills and knowledge in the kitchen about nutrition, flavors, and the art of good eating. 


GOALS:  
* Share knowledge of eating and preparing food.  
* Encourage Independence from the deli and fast food.
* improve life through cuisine and hospitality.

BENEFITS:  Participants will improve their diet. Learn cooking skills, shopping skills, and will be encouraged to develop their creativity in the kitchen and at table.

FACILITATOR:  Dhyana Haber is a Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist from the California College of Ayurveda. Dhyana was born and raised in Vrindavan, India, and has been practicing and living a yogic and natural lifestyle since her childhood. She is a yoga instructor, who holds a diploma in Yoga Therapy and Naturopathy from the Sukadeva Ananda College in Hrishikesh, India.
